What is the skin barrier? It is found in the superficial layer of the epidermis and has two very critical functions:
- Protects us from external aggressors; and
- Seals-in moisture.
If damaged, the skin becomes vulnerable – external threats can enter and hydration can escape.

Ceramides AP/NP. Biotechnological-derived human skin identical barrier lipids providing skin protection and moisturization. Ceramides support dry skin reinforcing natural lipid barrier and promoting skin comfort.
Phytosphingosine. Biotechnological-derived skin identical lipid, naturally present in the skin. It is used as a soothing agent reducing sensations of irritation.
Glycerin. A hygroscopic (humectant) able to attract water in the superficial layers of epidermis, helping maintain a soft and smooth skin.
TMG (Betaine). Naturally derived amino acid, obtained from renewable sources. It has moisturizing and soft conditioning properties.
Illipe Butter (Shorea stenoptera seed butter). Emollient from the fruit kernel of the Illipe tree, leaving a silky, velvet skin feeling. It helps preventing the skin from drying out by retaining moisture.

EVOO Enzimatico. Our proprietary enzymatic formula converted from cold-extracted, extra virgin olive oil. This oil-based compound contains HT (Hydroxytyrosol) and enzymatically converted biotechnological free fatty acids.
Estratto di Olivo Our water-soluble compound which contains HT (Hydroxytyrosol) It is derived from the upcycled and renewable press water created during the olive milling step. It is extracted using physical-mechanical processes instead of chemical ones.

There are no specific concerns regarding pregnancy or nursing mothers.
For added nourishment and soothing, you can layer HY 3 (Hydrator 3) after your retinol or chemical exfoliant treatment to help reduce dryness and irritation.
You can use AB (Antioxidant Boost) with HY 3 (Hydrator 3).
We recommend using AC (Antioxidant Cream) in the morning (follow with SPF) and HY 3 (Hydrator 3) at night. However, depending on your skin needs, you can also use only HY 3 both in the morning and at night (follow with SPF in the morning).
